AV / CCTV / Wi‑Fi – Installation & Maintenance

You’ll work on cabling, equipment installation, and troubleshooting for AV, CCTV, and Wi‑Fi systems. The job suits someone who can think clearly on site, adapt when needed, and solve practical problems without cutting corners.
Job Description
On any given project, you’ll be responsible for the following key tasks:
Planning & Preparation
- Study and understand electrical and ELV wiring diagrams and layout drawings.
- Identify equipment locations and cable endpoints based on project drawings.
- Determine suitable cable pathways in consultation with the system designer, client, and other contractors.
Installation & Configuration
- Install PVC casing, conduit, wall boxes, and cabling with proper routing and bend radius.
- Mount and connect AV, CCTV, Wi‑Fi, and related equipment.
- Configure devices as instructed (basic setup, network settings, firmware updates).
Testing & Troubleshooting
- Test installed systems to confirm correct operation and signal integrity.
- Troubleshoot onsite issues and carry out maintenance or corrective work when required.
Documentation & Standards
- Document all work, including equipment installed, materials used, and any deviations from drawings.
Eligibility Requirements
- At least 3 years of documented experience in ELV or electrical installation work
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent certification
- Skilled in both embedded and surface cabling techniques using appropriate power tools
- Ability to work neatly and safely to internationally accepted standards
- Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Sri Lanka
- Experience installing AV, CCTV, data, or other ELV equipment is preferred
