Electronics Repair Technician

Job Description

Experienced and competent electronics technician required on a part-time basis to carry out component level repairs on audio and audiovisual equipment.

Eligibility Requirements

• A comprehensive understanding of fundamental electrical and electronic theory and principles.
• Ability to understand circuit diagrams and identify components and their function in a circuit.
• Ability to sketch circuit diagrams when one is not available to assist in fault finding.
• Experience in the use of test equipment – including oscilloscopes – to methodically diagnose faults.
• Should be skilled at desoldering and soldering SMDs.
• Relevant certifications/qualifications would be good but not essential. Your knowledge and your ability to demonstrate it at the interview will be the deciding factor.

Working Hours and Remuneration

Working hours are flexible and working on weekends is possible. Remuneration will be calculated on an hourly basis and paid weekly.
