Product Overview

The Sonos Arc Ultra is Sonos’ flagship soundbar, built as a complete reinvention of the original Arc with an all-new acoustic architecture. Fifteen Class-D digital amplifiers drive 14 Sonos-engineered drivers in a 9.1.4 channel configuration, delivering Dolby Atmos spatial audio that places sound precisely around and above the listener from a single, low-profile unit.

At the center of the redesign is Sound Motion, a new woofer technology using four distributed motors and dual-membrane, force-canceling voice coils within a single flat enclosure. This design delivers significantly deeper, more powerful bass than the original Arc while reducing the soundbar’s height and depth, and frees up internal space for the additional tweeter and midrange drivers that give Arc Ultra its wider, more balanced soundstage. Seven silk-dome tweeters (two angled upward for Atmos height effects) and six midwoofers round out the driver array, all housed within a distinctive curved, matte-finish cabinet.

An advanced center channel architecture is tuned to maximize vocal clarity, and AI-powered Speech Enhancement, with four selectable levels, further refines dialogue on top of that. A far-field microphone array supports both voice control and Trueplay room tuning, which measures the acoustics of the space it’s placed in and adjusts EQ accordingly, on both iOS and Android.

The Arc Ultra can be used standalone, straight out of the box, or expanded into a full home theater system by adding a Sonos Sub (Sub 4 or Sub Mini) for deeper bass and a pair of Era 300 speakers as rear surrounds for a complete Dolby Atmos experience. A Private Listening feature lets TV audio be instantly sent to compatible Sonos headphones for private cinematic listening with dynamic head tracking, at the press of a button.
