Product Overview
The Yamaha DBR15 is a powerful, bi-amplified powered loudspeaker designed for musicians, DJs, live performance, events, and professional PA applications that require high output and extended low-frequency response without a separate amplifier. It is the largest model in Yamaha’s DBR series, combining a 15″ low-frequency driver with Yamaha’s FIR-X tuning and D-Contour processing in a portable, self-powered cabinet.
A two-way, bass-reflex design pairs a 15″ cone woofer with a 2.5″ voice coil and a 1.4″ compression driver with a 1″ throat. The drivers are powered by dedicated amplifier channels within a 1000W Class-D amplifier system. Yamaha’s FIR-X tuning applies linear-phase FIR crossover filtering for accurate, smooth reproduction, while D-Contour multi-band compression provides optimized settings for FOH/Main or floor-monitor operation.
An onboard 2-channel mixer allows the DBR15 to operate without an external mixer for simple setups: Channel 1 accepts a combo XLR/¼” input, while Channel 2 provides a second combo XLR/¼” input alongside stereo unbalanced RCA inputs for a media player or other line-level source. The channels can be blended together or passed through independently, and a switchable high-pass filter makes it straightforward to integrate a companion subwoofer.
The cabinet’s 50° symmetrical wedge angle allows the DBR15 to be used as a floor monitor as well as a conventional upright PA loudspeaker. Two side handles make the speaker easier to transport, while the 35mm pole socket supports standard speaker stands. Three M8 rigging points provide options for suspended or installed applications using appropriate hardware and brackets.
