Product Overview

The Sonos Era 100 is a compact stereo speaker built to fill a room with detailed, room-filling sound from a bookshelf, kitchen counter, desk, or nightstand. It’s the successor to the Sonos One, reworked with a wider stereo image, deeper bass, and a broader set of connectivity options than the model it replaces.

Inside, three Class-D digital amplifiers power two angled tweeters and a larger midwoofer, delivering true stereo separation along with rich low-end that punches above the speaker’s compact size. A far-field microphone array with beamforming and echo cancellation supports fast, accurate voice control, and can be physically disconnected using a hardware mic switch on the back of the unit. Trueplay tuning automatically analyzes the acoustics of the room it’s placed in and adjusts the speaker’s EQ accordingly, working on both iOS and Android.

Connectivity spans WiFi 6 for high-quality, interruption-free streaming, Bluetooth 5.3 for direct device pairing, and Apple AirPlay 2 for streaming from iPhone, iPad, or Mac. A USB-C port on the back supports optional accessories: the Sonos Line-In Adapter for connecting a turntable or other analog source via 3.5mm cable, or the Sonos Combo Adapter for a wired Ethernet connection. Two Era 100 speakers can be paired together in the same room for a wider stereo soundstage, or used as rear surround speakers alongside a compatible Sonos soundbar for a full home theater setup.
