Product Overview
The Yamaha DBR10 is a compact, bi-amplified powered loudspeaker built for musicians, DJs, and small event PA setups that need a portable, high-output speaker without a separate mixer or amplifier. It’s the smallest model in Yamaha’s DBR series, sharing DSP, amplifier, and speaker technology developed for Yamaha’s professional DSR and DXR series lines.
A two-way, bass-reflex design pairs a 10″ cone woofer (with a 2″ voice coil) with a 1″ horn-loaded compression driver, each powered by its own dedicated amplifier channel within a 700W Class-D amplifier system. Yamaha’s FIR-X tuning applies linear-phase FIR crossover filtering for a smooth, high-resolution frequency response, while D-Contour multi-band compression protects the drivers and lets the same speaker be optimized for either main PA use or floor monitor use with a single switch.
An onboard 2-channel mixer allows the DBR10 to run without any external mixing desk: Channel 1 accepts a combo XLR/¼” input, while Channel 2 adds a second combo XLR/¼” input alongside a stereo unbalanced RCA input for connecting a CD player or media device. The two channels can be blended together or passed through independently, and a switchable high-pass filter makes it straightforward to add a companion subwoofer to the system without extra outboard gear.
The cabinet’s optimized 50° wedge angle allows the DBR10 to double as a floor monitor when laid on its side, in addition to standard upright PA use. A durable, lightweight molded cabinet with a protective steel grille and ergonomic carry handle keeps the speaker easy to transport between gigs, and M8 rigging points allow the DBR10 to be flown using optional Yamaha speaker brackets or standard eye-bolts.
